China-Vietnam 110kV and 220kV power transmission began on September 25, 2004. Up to December 31, 2015, the gross volume of power transmitted to Vietnam reached 30.785 billion kWh.

On February 16, 2015, YNIC started to sell and transmit power via 110kV single-circuit transmission line to Special Region No. 4 of the Myanmese Shan State. From August 26, 2008 onwards, YNIC started buying power from Myanmar, and the purchased power was transmitted to China from the Myanmese Shweli I and Dapeint I hydropower stations. Up to December 31, 2015, the total volume of power transmitted to Myanmar reached 42 million kWh.
